Adult Learn-to-Swim Programs in KENTUCKY
Join certified Adult Learn-to-Swim (ALTS) instructors and volunteer USMS members as they host FREE Adult Learn-to-Swim classes in Louisville, Lexington, and Shelbyville.
This curriculum was specially designed by U.S. Masters Swimming to help adults learn to swim, feel safe in the water, and enjoy the aquatic environment. This program is for adults with limited to no prior swimming experience or those with a fear of water who wish to learn the basics of swimming:
• Introduction to the Water/Overcoming Fear
• Breathing and Submersion
• Floating and Gliding (front & back)
• Freestyle and Breathing
• Treading Water
• Jumping into Deep Water
• Pool Exit
• Other Strokes (elementary backstroke, breaststroke)
Free programming is made possible through a grant from the USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation.

Please note that all graduates of ALTS programs in Kentucky are welcome to come to open clinics, provided they are still insured under a USMS 30-Day Trial Membership Waiver OR have a current registration with U.S. Masters Swimming. Information about financial assistance for USMS memberships is available upon request by emailing email@example.com.
FEBRUARY DAYTIME - FULL

As of January 4, this session has filled. Registrations for the next daytime classes at Central High School (April 22-25 from 12-1pm) and another daytime session at The Academy at Shawnee (April 8-11 from 12-1pm) will be available beginning March 1.
MARCH EVENINGS - FULL
March 18-21, 2019 from 6-7pm @ Central High School (Louisville)
As of January 4, this session has filled. Registrations for the next evening classes at Central High School (April 15-18 from 6-7pm) will be available beginning March 1.
Please note: You will be contacted by phone or email to confirm your registration. All registrations are made on a first come first served basis. Any registrations accepted after a class has filled will be placed on a waitlist and given priority for the next available class. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

WINTER fitness challenge
Mark your calendars to join local Adult Learn-to-Swim students and volunteers as they host the 2019 SmartyPants Vitamins USMS Winter Fitness Challenge at Central High School at 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 27th! This community event is designed for ALL registered members of U.S. Masters Swimming who wish to challenge themselves by completing a 30-minute swim in ANY fashion, all the while raising funds for the USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation and Central Adult Learn-to-Swim, Inc. charitable nonprofits.
