RIVER RATS

The River Rats (RATS) is an open water workout group in Louisville, Kentucky. The Rats were started to bring SKY swimmers together to enjoy the beauty of open water swimming and host events for the USMS community nationwide. Our mission is simple— to enjoy the best qualities of swimming, together.

Official practice INFORMATION

Official River Rats practices are held on Sunday mornings at 7:00am. All other practices are unofficial and not recognized by USMS.

All River Rats team members MUST be registered with U.S. Masters Swimming or have a USMS 30-day-trial form on file with the USMS National Office. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

Please note: All officially recognized (USMS approved, kayak provided) River Rats practices are suspended for the cold water season. Any swimming in the river is at your own risk. We encourage our teammates to join visit the Places to Swim map to find a pool to swim in until April! Thanks for a great inaugural season!
